The requirements to become Semen Donor
  1. A male must be > 20 years old, better under 50 years old.
  2. Any Blood type is feasible
  3. Write an official HPA* Health Evaluation Sheet and relevant examinations
  4. No history of semen donation or previous donation without live birth and preserved semen. (submit to HPA* to rule out double donation)
  5. Examinations：
    ✓  General physical condition and screening for psychologic diseases
    ✓  Hereditary Diseases history：chromosome anomaly, epilepsy, hemophilia ,Thalassemia, DM, Color blindness.
    ✓  Infectious Diseases screening：Syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, CBC, chlamydia, Blood type, semen analysis.
    ✓  Prohibit further domestic semen donation after a donation with live birth.

不會。依據人工生殖法第13條規定，醫療機構應提供捐贈人之種族、膚色及血型資料，供受贈夫妻參考，其餘資料皆為保密。
捐精者捐贈後滿六個月（愛滋病空窗期）需配合抽血檢驗複查，複查完成，報告結果沒問題，可獲得營養費8000元。
依人工生殖法第19條規定，生殖細胞經捐贈後，捐贈人不得請求返還。但捐贈人捐贈後，經醫師診斷或證明有生育功能障礙者，得請求返還未經銷毀之生殖細胞。
機率非常低。國民健康署也因此提供「人工生殖子女親屬關係查詢辦法」，協助查詢以精卵捐贈方式施行人工生殖所生之子女的結婚對象，是否有親屬關係，但不會透露實際捐贈人資料。
