The requirements to become Domestic Oocyte Recipient
  1. A female must be > 20 years old with marriage.
  2. Consent of artificial reproductive technology (ART).
  3. Consent of using donated oocytes in ART.
  4. Notarization in District Court for recipient couple’s consent.
  5. Apply for the kinship verification (table of consanguinity within 4th degree relatives) of recipient couple, verification of direct relatives by marriage, and direct blood relatives of recipient at Household Registration Office.( Recipient’s spousal relatives within 4th degree collateral blood relatives, direct relatives by marriage, and direct blood relatives are prohibited to donate by Artificial Reproduction Act -15.) (If the kinship verification is difficult to obtain due to alien spouse, write deposition.)
  6. Match with Oocyte Donor.
  7. Submit for verification of oocyte donor’s validity in Artificial Reproductive Data.
Preparation of Documents for Oocyte Recipient
  1. ID
    ✓  Both of your National Identification Cards (ID).
    ✓  If you are Taiwanese, present the ID.
    ✓  If you are alien, present two identification documents, including passport and foreign ID.
  2. Certification of Marriage
    ✓  IDs with spouse’s name
    ✓  If your marriage is not registered in Taiwan, bring the validated foreign certification of marriage.
    ✓  If your spouse is alien, bring Household Certificate, Passport, foreign ID or Alien Resident Certificate.
    ✓  If both of you are from People's Republic of China, “ Marriage Relationship” verified by Taiwan Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF). You can be here within 6 months after Notarization and 3 months after SEF’s verification.
  3. Kinship verification (table of consanguinity within 4th degree relatives)
    With the Hospital’s Medical Certificate, you can apply for the kinship verification (table of consanguinity within 4th degree relatives) of recipient couple, verification of direct relatives by marriage, and direct blood relatives of recipient at Household Registration Office. Return the kinship verification to hospital.
  4. Notarization
    ✓  Notarize Consent of Receiving Donation with two identification documents and seals at the court or private notary public office.
    ✓  Return notarized Consent of Receiving Donation to hospital.
Indications for Considering the Use of Donor Oocytes
  • Diminished ovarian reserve due to advanced reproductive age or unknown reason.
  • Women with poor oocyte, and/or embryo quality or multiple failures during prior IVF.
  • Ovarian hypoplasia or failure due to congenital diseases.
  • Premature ovarian failure (POF) due to surgery, autoimmune, chemotherapy, Infections, or genetic defects.
  • Women affected by or being the carrier of genetic defect or with congenital disease, and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) can not apply on their IVF.
  • Legal marriage is essential for domestic IVF.

會依受贈者登記之資料，優先配對符合夫妻血型，相近之身高、體重，一旦有合適人選，生殖中心會有專人與您聯絡。

依台灣人工生殖法第十三條規定，我們會對捐贈者基本資料絕對保密，只提供健康狀況及身高、體重、血型僅供參考。

依台灣人工生殖法第十三條規定，醫療機構實施人工生殖，不得應受術夫妻要求，使用特定人捐贈之生殖細胞；接受捐贈生殖細胞，不得應捐贈人要求，用於特定之受術夫妻。

規定精卵捐贈之人工生殖，在四親等內之旁系血親不得為精子及卵子之結合，所以受術夫妻應提供四等親屬相關資料，以利查證。

試管嬰兒僅是以人工輔助的方式達成懷孕的目的，即使是自然受孕，寶寶仍有2~4%的比率可能是不正常的，故會建議以人工輔助達成懷孕目的後，定期做產前檢查，並於16至18週做羊膜穿刺術或非侵入性胎兒染色體基因檢測胎兒染色體是否正常。

機率非常低。國民健康署也因此提供「人工生殖子女親屬關係查詢辦法」，協助查詢以精卵捐贈方式施行人工生殖所生之子女的結婚對象，是否有親屬關係，但不會透露實際捐贈人資料。
