    • Blood tests for ovarian function
    • Sonography (RTS)
  3. Entering Therapeutic Cycle
    • Come to our office within 3 day of menstruation. Blood test for hormones and sonography for follicles. Ovulation induction with injectable fertility medications
    • Intermittently follow up follicles and hormones every 3-4 days
    • Pick-up the oocytes at the 10th~12th day of menstruation
  4. Oocyte Retrieval and Freezing
    • The oocytes in the ovarian follicles are aspirated vaginally under general anesthesia within 20 min. You can go home if you feel well after anesthesia.
    • The maturity of the eggs is assessed, and those that are mature are cryopreserved.
Who Needs Egg (oocyte) Freezing?
  • Young unmarried women
  • Women aged > 35 y/o not yet have childbearing plan.
  • Risk of premature ovarian failure
  • Women with tumor requiring surgery, chemotherapy, or pelvic radiation therapy.
  • Women with uterine agenesis or impaired uterine function, and still waiting for the domestic laws of ulegal surrogacy.

Who Needs Semen Freezing?
  • Those who can not cooperate the timing of semen collection in the process of ART
  • Can not or difficultly collect the semen, need surgical collection of semen and semen freezing for later IVF.
  • Before the imminent chemical or radiation therapy
  • Semen donation
  • Young men not yet have childbearing plan or preservation before sterilization
  • Poor semen results in several semen analysis.
  • Harmful environment for semen (e.g., high temperature, radiation, organic or special solvent, pesticides and metals )
Special Notes before Semen Collection
  • No masturbation at least 3-5 days before semen collection. Too long or short abstinence will affect the semen quality.
  • Carefully wash your hands before semen collection, masturbate and collect the semen in our special sterile container.
  • Do not use condom (with spermicide), intercourse, or lubricant.
  • Keep the collected container in room temperature, neither freeze it nor keep it warm.
  • Return the collected semen to our ART center within one hour.
